With more than 25 years in the metal recycling industry, Stuart has worked his way up from yard laborer to executive director of trading and operations for the largest metal recycler in sub-Saharan Africa, overseeing 4,500 employees across 85 sites.

Using his breadth and depth of experience, Stu co-founded what was the most awarded and fastest-growing metal recycling company in New Zealand. Recognizing that tech was not serving the industry, Stu then developed Buddy, the first relationship-led trading platform designed for scrappies by scrappies.

Stu also hosts the popular podcast "Born Scrappy," a must-listen for scrap metal exporters looking to elevate their games.
